Description
A plan is not qualified unless it benefits a minimum number of employees. The minimum number required depends on the size of the employer, the employee demographics and sometimes the level of benefits provided under the plan. These requirements are known as coverage rules. This chapter explains the various methods of testing coverage and how violations can be corrected.
